Did you know that:

The scope of allergies is much broader than once believed. Allergic rhinitis accounts for more than 11 million office visits per year. At least 20 percent of the population are suffering from allergic rhinitis. Allergies are imposing a great economic burden with costs of treatment estimated at 10 billion dollars a year.

Up to 60 percent of the asthmatic population is suffering from allergies. At least half of the patients who suffer from chronic ear infections and nasal polyps suffer from allergies.

Allergic rhinitis accounts for the cause of about 50 percent of the patients who suffer from sinusitis and chronic sinus headaches. It has been estimated that 20 percent of the visits to pediatric offices are due to allergic diseases.

Allergies also account for many days loss of work, school absentees and military duty write-offs.
